The University of Michigan has successfully completed its Open Pathway 4-Year Assurance Review with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The review concluded with no recommended monitoring or sanctions, reaffirming U-M’s longstanding commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and effective planning for the future.
As part of this process, U-M prepared a comprehensive Assurance Argument supported by substantial and relevant documentation. The review team noted that the submission was well-organized, timely, and demonstrated that the university:
