Accreditation 2020 Virtual Visit Completed

On April 20-21, 2020, nine peer reviewers appointed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) conducted a virtual visit to the Ann Arbor campus. Many U-M faculty, staff, and students participated in both open and closed meetings during the visit on topics related to the HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation, particularly how we engage with our mission and pursue our work with integrity, how we approach student learning and assessment, and how we evaluate our own effectiveness and plan for the future.

This reaccreditation cycle has illustrated how we continually improve, how we deliver on our mission, and how we provide a world-class education for our students. The Accreditation 2020 Core Team would like to express our sincerest thanks to those who met with the peer reviewers. We are very grateful to everyone who was involved in the 2020 process and who helped to tell the story of the past decade through strong claims, robust conversations, and a rich body of evidence.
